We are waiting for a cost estimate, and after that we'll decide which method to choose for the campaign.
Kickstarter is a realistic alternative if the costs happened to be higher than we could collect through the Forum.
I think we'll know more in two weeks or so.

The location is wonderful, I can't think of a better place for our bench :-) We met Lakis Christidis and we'll soon have all details about the cost. Let's hope everything goes well with permission from Archaeological Office and municipality.
Here's another photo of the view :-)

You might find this of interest.

A friend sadly lost her daughter recently and decided to dedicate a bench in her memory and used crowd funding for the money to do it. They received much more than their goal and were able to donate the rest to the children's hospital. Here's a link with the story. Could be a good way to do more than just the seat in Leonard's name. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-pa ... for-maddie

Hello all,

Willy and I have been on Hydra for 2 weeks, and we made a short video of the location for the bench. I think it gives a good impression of the location and the view from the bench.
You hear also a interview with Willy and Lakis.

Leave it to you and Willy to come through for us like this, Wijbe !
The video is GORGEOUS and the short interview so great to have on record with it.
I notice that there are steps on the left already in place. Has anyone said what they related to historically? 'We' aren't the only ones to have found this location suitable!

Thanks so much 8)

The steps just lead from the path to Kamini
up to some houses in the area.

The architect, Jiorgos, told us he might
fresh-up a bit the steps as a part of
the "bench project".

Here on work:

I, too, would be honored to contribute. It is a great location which I walked by several times three years ago. Thanks for uploading the video Wybe!
