Re: Music You're Listening To
Did any of you see on TV the 3 hours of Tom Petty on BBC4 a few Saturdays ago. Very Good!
We were listening to The Travelling Wilburys at the time.
The last week I've been listening to UB40; Totally different but I love them and Reggae in general. I think it's that Primal Beat; it just gets my hips swinging!
Reggae has such a joyous rhythm but often (as in UB40's case) contains quite hardline Political messages.
We went to see them in Nantes Sunday evening. Although Ali Campbell is no longer with them, his brother Duncan does a really good job in his place. Highly recommended to put a smile on your face.

Re: Music You're Listening To
Well, I have to admit I haven't even listened to the album, but this is what fellow-LC forum member Greg Ross is listening to (don't think he will post here right now for a shere lack of time at the moment!) and what he has said about this recently released album on Facebook: "The new Renee Fleming album, DARK HOPE, is fabulous! So far, my favourites tracks are: MAD WORLD, IN YOUR EYES and HALLELUJAH. The album gets better with every listen" - definitely sounds worth a try not least of all for the Leonard connection, I think!

UB40 live must have been great, Vicomtesse!
Hello Adam, nice to see you:-) it's been a while since I've bumped into you on the forum. Like I always say, this place is like the Hotel California - you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Yusuf seems to just get better with age doesn't he. Kush wow how captivating is the song you posted. Fantastic!
Here's The Edge of Existence, which he wrote for the huge number of threatened and persecuted tribal people, for Bruce Parry's fund-raising album.

I love the new album of The National 'High Violet'
Here a video ... directed by Chris Hegedus and DA Pennebaker(!)
'I had a hole in the middle where the lightning went through it
told my friends not to worry'
Director's Cut: The National perform "Anyones Ghost" live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on May 15, 2010. A VEVO event on YouTube. Directed by Chris Hegedus and DA Pennebaker, the proceeds from the event will benefit the Red Hot Organization http://www.redhot.org

Neil Young - Southern Pacific Toronto 1985
I missed this concert by a couple of hours. It took alot longer than I'd hoped to hitch from Niagara Fall to Toronto. Finally, I'm seeing part of it.
