I'll have to read this thread when I get time, but for now... if I'm able to see Leonard in 2011 and if I were able to see him in 2010, the 'song' I would love to hear returned to every performance is his recitation of the four, priestly blessings 8) . It brings a calm and acceptance to my heart of so many things when he speaks them. For the few who tire of hearing them at each concert, there are literally thousands who love them as much as I do.

Villanelle For Our Time, even though the words are not by Leonard but another Canadian poet, Frank Scott, is very special too.

From bitter searching of the heart,
Quickened with passion and with pain
We rise to play a greater part.
This is the faith from which we start:
Men shall know commonwealth again
when she came back she was nobody's wife . . .

I will not hold out any hope for this but how awesome would it be if he played Priests? I secretly also hope that he records it for his new album

'Do I Have To Dance All Night', the 1980 Paris version that DrHGuy has been so instrumental in bringing to us. Love it. Can just hear it now -

"But now you stand before me in the flesh, saying yeah" (and everyone howling back) "yeah, yeah, yeah" RAISING THE ROOF

Leonard, please keep on dancing all night :D

Violin is a good idea.

Though I would really love to hear the beautiful mandoline of Javier Mas on Avalanche (and The Parthisan, and The Gypsy's wife etc.).
