2 songs have been playing over and over in my head recently for completely different reasons.

First off, with the catastrophe going on in the Gulf of Mexico, "The Future" seems eerily too true. I'm heartsick about this....the loss of life, human and animal all in the name of corporate greed. I keep hearing the line from The Future:

Take the only tree that's left
and stuff it up the hole
in your culture

Only, I want to substitute the word "pipeline" for "culture". I pray that things don't get that far. As it is, it will be years, if ever before that bit of ocean and land will recover. I hold onto one other line from that same song. It does bring hope, however small.

but love's the only engine of survival

The other song that's been going thru my head lately is "Famous Blue Raincoat". 2 sets of lyrics stand out for me:
