1) Cannot endorse this, or comment, as I don't even know if Geoffrey likes bananas
2) Is in need of a good flyswatting (Cate?)

the banana is a delicious fruit, but here it is being used by a filthy philistine to symbolise a flaccid phallus.

(did you know the philistines may have been the first people to use written communication based on phonemes)Geoffrey wrote:Marisha wrote:

Listen Geoffrey, there's no need to name call we're all adults here - Marisha has a ... ahhhm, special love of fruit. Now that might seem a bit odd or weird and I maybe I wouldn't eat fruit salad at her house but I certainly support her right to love fruit - anyway she wishes.
1) Geoffrey likes banana's as a fruit only and therefor is only interested in the oral appreciation of them.
2) Is in need of a good flyswatting (Yay - I get to practice my snap technique)
3) should not be trusted alone with your local priest

i know marisha's identity, and recognise multiple personality disorder when i see it. my studies of deviant psychological behaviour peculiar to food fetishism and related perversions has also equipped me with sufficient knowledge to identify a complete whacko when i see one. one case history i read concerned an antisocial bachelor who, instead of forming a relationship with a lady, had a weekly habit of purchasing a ripe honey-melon and cutting a small circular hole in one end. it was "better than any woman," he claimed during one consultation.

Re: Now Geoffrey no longer comes here
Ummmm about melon-man; he sounds like a lazy lover to me. Limiting one's experience to melons cannot afford much opportunity to polish one's... err... technique; it must take little effort to please the melon... Marisha, whatever (or whomever) else she may be, could not be considered lazy!
Re: Now Geoffrey no longer comes here
Very true Imaginary - this melon man sounds very lazy (I can't imagine that Marisha could be lazy either - waitressing and bowling are very high energy activities).
Do you think he even takes her out to dinner first? What if she's not quite ripe yet, will he wait for her or just move on to some sweeter melon.
no - what's it about?Any of you ever read a book entitled "Crumb?"
Love Story - Melon Man and his Canteloupe
she was young when he found her
piled with others who had little aim
and no direction
not yet ripe but round, firm
sure to sweeten nicely.
Already when he pressed his nose to her skin
he could smell the sugars forming
He brought her to his place and made
her a paper bag home
with an old banana to keep her company.
Daily he'd bring her out,
softly stroking her webbing until the day
he felt a give between his hands
and a noticed her sweet aroma
rising from where she had first blossomed
surly a sign his love had been returned... (let's just skip the love scene and just assume they had a fine time - mutually consenting of course)
- - - - - - - - - - -
post note - not all romances end happily.
Later in a fit of jealousy concerned over bananas intentions, he refused to return her to her paper home - instead he sealed her in a plastic baggy and tucked her into the depths of the crisper. The next weekend, when thoughts of love had again returned he discovered that his lover had turned into a soft ozzy mush...

This is a quite brilliant poem and although it hardly applies to me as my sweetness is clear for all my banana friends immediately they are blessed to meet me. They don't wait days to unzip! No wonder she is surly from frustration.

Re: Now Geoffrey no longer comes here
well maybe I'm old fashioned but I'd like to imagine that Melon Man devotes a bit of time to getting to know his lovers.

.. hmm.. but if you're so famous, then why hang out here, I wonder.. no doubt all this banana and doughnut talk feeds the neurosis, I imagine.. which in turn increases your creative output.. oh, also, Marisha has rather big thighs.. for a girl, I mean.. and she could probably carry you up those little folklorish Norwegian stairs (in the Haight-Ashbury section of Norway, I mean).. [oh, that last mention might have been a reference to part 2]..
.. anyway.. THE END..
