"Sir Paul McCartney has set a new world record after selling out all 4,000 seats for his upcoming gig at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in an astonishing seven seconds.
Tickets for the Beatles legend's April 19 concert at the resort's The New Joint venue went on sale on February 14 - and newly-released statistics suggest the gig was the hottest ticket around, selling at a rate of nearly 600 seats a second. "

It doesn't really surprise me that tickets have been selling out so quickly.
If you really think about how many fans are out there, and let's say each one is buying a minimum of 2. Some venues are only 2500-3000 seaters. How many tickets can fan presales reserve? Even if it's half of them, that only takes 500 people clicking at the same time at 10am. Really not that many.

From the thread title I thought you might compare our ticket gripes to the struggles in Darfur.
