Dublin, June 14-15 and now also 13!!!
Re: Dublin, June 14-15 and now also 13!!!
No, no no no no, Sean. No Dublin for me. The money won't have it. Since when would that keep me out of a thread and joining in regarding someone talking about "middle aged women" tittering on about stuff, though ?
Ironically, though, I was on one of the news blogs where Barack Obama was being discussed and what do I come across? A posting by someone whose screen name is "The Floridian" . OMG ~ "Could that be what he meant?? Was he HERE and was referring to it from THERE!?!" were my immediate thoughts. I see now that this wasn't the case.
I look forward to meeting you some day, though.

EXCUSE ME damellon, you have NEVER EVER EVER seen me with a pint in my hand.
tinderella - the normal meeting place is damellon's fry-up stall.
You'll hear her - "Get the last of the chockolaaaaate ice kre-ams" (Mars Bars dipped in car oil) in a kind of Northside Scottish accent.

Tea, definitely not the Friday night.
The stage won't be fully erected on Friday - no cover, so if it rains the band (and singers including our hero) will either have to wear rain coats or have brollies held over them.
Plus only one of the backing singers will be present on the night as the Ward Sisters (must be nurses in another life?) have a gig at a wedding in the Queen of the South FC clubhouse that night so won't be in Dublin till Sat morning.
I gather also that some of the seating at the back may not be fully in place so it'll be standing from Rows PP back.
Enjoy!

Any plans from anyone to organise a get-together over the concert weekend? Happy to help out if there's any interest in having a forum-high-tea and scones!

Poppy - where did you get the information regarding the half-erected stage and backing singer shortfall? Seems a bit odd to me...Red Poppy wrote:Tea, definitely not the Friday night.

Your first encounter with the Red Poppy?
