London, 02 Arena, July 17 tickets
Re: London, 02 Arena, July 17
Fingers not speedy enough (or not as quick as the touts)!!!
Went online at 9.00am - no problem getting onto site but all best tickets gone.....
but amazingly the "ticketmaster exchange" had tickets at inflated prices.
I guess it's who you know.
Think I will try other venues..
Best of luck to the rest of you.

Started at 9am and wanted 2 tickets but the only ones that came up were Level 4 ones. The Ticketmaster website is a nightmare and I think there is something morally wrong about them having tickets on their Ticket Exchange just minutes after the sale started at hugely inflated prices. Some even at £750!!!
In the end, after more than 1 hour, I managed to get a ticket in Block A2 - but only one.

There should be a law passed against Ticketmaster's ridiculous booking fees (and also, why should i pay a ridiculous amount for postage? I could pick the tickets up at the venue). I can't believe there were tickets going for £750 on the Ticketmaster ticket exchange, this crap needs to be regulated, quick.

The government recently held a review of secondary ticket markets. Amazingly enough, the review found that the problem lies not in the fact that touts are selling tickets above face value, but that the promoters are not getting a percentage of it.
The worst thing is that eliminating touting is trivial:
1. Ban ticket sales over face value.
2. Make all ticket agents accept returns, thereby eliminating any legitimate need for the secondary market.
Would LOVE to hear the official Ticketmaster line on this.

Got two tickets so so happy, no ebay or touts for me and hopefully enough tickets within UK that no-one will have to get scalped, may they (touts) all end up with tickets they can't shift and make a loss.
Re: London, 02 Arena, July 17
I should have two tickets spare for O2 but they are in the top tier. I am scared of heights!!! I will also have one ticket spare on a lower tier (the downside is you will have to sit next to me). Don't have the tickets yet and have asked Ticketmaster if they will cancel my top tier tickets but if they don't then they will be spare.
Dublin 14th June, Manchester 20th June, O2 17th July, Matlock Bandstand Aug 28, O2 14th November, Royal Albert Hall 17th and 18th November 2008, MBW 11th July 2009, Liverpool Echo 14th July 2009

Well I was on line at 8:58 - got ticket at 09:01 best pair available Block 106! How did so many tickets go in 60 seconds?? Delighted to be going, but frankly it's a farce
Re: London, 02 Arena, July 17
seetickets has available tickets in block 110 for £60 each - guess that's better than what ticketmaster is offering?
Re: London, 02 Arena, July 17
I can't work out the seating for this godforsaken bloody venue. People have been referring to block this or that eg block 110, does BK stand for block? I've got BK row B, whatever that means. The seating plan varies according to the artist but Leonard wasn't listed in the seating plan options. Can anyone enlighten me? (I'm grateful to have anything to be honest, but it would be nice to know exactly how far away from the stage I'll be.) Deena

If previous o2 gigs are anything to go by then a load of great seats will be released a day or two before the gig so it is worth checking back regularly.

Denna have a look at this website:
http://www.seatwave.com/seatmap/map00.aspx?VenID=427
I think BK just refers to block. You should then have a number, mine is 102.
Then There is a row and the number of the seat

Thanks Alan, this diagram makes a bit more sense. I'm in 193 - I'm gonna need a telescope! hey ho, better than nothing.

Deena, I think that you are probably in block 106, seat 193, as there doesn't appear to be a block 193.Deena wrote:Thanks Alan, this diagram makes a bit more sense. I'm in 193 - I'm gonna need a telescope! hey ho, better than nothing.
Although I am in Block 102 it's in row Z, so that looks as if it will be a long way from the stage.
Still it's been my life's ambition to see Leonard, so I would have taken any seat available!

I too am delighted to have tickets - block 105 Row W.
It does appear to be strange that at 9am on the dot when I hit the buy button there were no £75 tickets on ticketmaster. I quickly tried see.tickets.com as well and they had no £75 tickets either so I went for the best available which was the £60.
Perhaps the better tickets were held back for 02 mobile and broadband customers.
Still, it will be awesome to see Leonard live wherever I am sitting.
I did manage to get a front row seat in Paris last year to see Joanna Newsom which was incredible but front row tickets don't come along very often; only managed it that time as seating was unallocated and I got to the venue very early.
