LC Walking Weekend Baiersbronn September 23 - 27, 2021

Post by Henning » Wed Jul 14, 2021 9:52 pm

We have four seats left for our next walking tour. Please register now in case you are interested.

The city of Baiersbronn is a tourist place nested in the Black Forest area in the south west of Germany well known for walking, skiing, tall trees, cuckoo clocks and nice restaurants. We have found a very nice spot to hang out in the evening and we became friends with the owner of the „Rocking Horse" (Schaukelpferd) and Jürgen welcomes the group for some super nights. Attached to the Rocking Horse is a nice hotel (Hotel Falken) with its own restaurant. During the weekend we will end up in several huts in the forest where food and drinks are served and where walkers from all over the world are given the chance of a rest with a nice view from the top of hills into the far valleys.

Here is the script of what we plan to do.

Thursday September 23:

Meet in Frankfurt Main station. Bus will pick us up at 5 p.m. and bring us to Baiersbronn (210 km). Then Hotel Check In, have your personal look around at the place, find your preferred restaurant or have dinner in the lovely Bistro/Bar Rocking Horse. Participants might also choose to arrive individually in Baiersbronn.

Friday September 24:

Walk to Panorama Hütte in Baiersbronn-Schwarzenberg with option of lunch, coffee and cake, bus ride back to Baiersbronn, dinner individually, hangout at Rocking Horse later

Saturday September 25:

Visit Freudenstadt, walk to Lauterbach Hütte with option of drinks and snacks, visit Water Castle in Glatt with coffee and cake, dinner in Baiersbronn individually, hangout at Rocking Horse (Bus transfers from Baiersbronn to Freudenstadt, to Water Castle and back to Baiersbronn), dinner individually, hangout at Rocking Horse later

Sunday September 26:

Option of round trip with historic bus, visit another Hütte, walk back to Baiersbronn, dinner at Rocking horse

Monday September 27:

We will leave Baiersbronn with bus, have a stop for 2 hours in Bad Wildberg and arrive at Frankfurt aprox. at 4 p.m. If you want to take an early flight on Monday you might use an early train from Baiersbronn to Frankfurt. If you have a late flight on Monday you will be in time with the bus ride. Some might want to stay for one more night in Frankfurt, the plan is that I will organize a concert in Frankfurt that evening.

For informations how to register PM me.
