Born in chains
While I am enjoying 'Born in Chains' on this new album. (I think it is right up there as a classic with 'Hallelujah'). I really would have loved to have seen it on a ' Live DVD', in it's original incarnation as sung in the 2010 tour. What a pity it was not added to 'Songs From The Road'. It needs the wind instruments and the beautiful voices of Sharon and the Webb Sisters to really do it justice. This is just my opinion, of course, but I did see it in Las Vegas, and it was stunning.

Had it featured live before Songs From The Road came out?

I think I am lucky I did not see this live.
I absolutely love this track, and without having anything to compare it to before, there's no "what could have been" mentality. I have no doubt it's better, as most of the live stuff is more emphatic… but, I play this song alllll the time.

Ok. Just found Albert's recording of this.
Wow… what a difference. I think it would have been pared down a bit in the studio anyway, but musically, quite different. I'm sure it'll still be performed that way, but I hope we get an official live version.
