Kris Kristofferson sings 'Bird On A Wire'

A 2017 release, double CD from 'The Bottom Line' club archives ... on the evening of February 2, 1994, Kris and Lou Reed were interviewed on stage by Vin Scelsa, and sang some of their own songs. [Victoria Williams and Suzanne Vega were also on the bill, but are not on these discs].The evening concludes with both men asked to sing a song they hadn't written ... so,track 12 on disc 2 has Kris mentioning being reminded of his wish to have the first few lines of Leonard's song as his epitaph, and then track 13: he sings the song, just him and his acoustic guitar; with a spoken "Thank you Leonard" at the end.
Catalogue number BLRCD019. And the sleeve-notes are excellent.

Leonard performed his Bottom Line shows (2 shows per night) nearly 20 years previously - on November 29, 30 and December 1, 1974, a few months after the release of 'New Skin For The Old Ceremony'.

Thanks Jim! That is the cd, still missing on my collection of all Cohen things.
