Goings On About Town: Night Life
Leonard Cohen

April 6-7: Leonard Cohen. The great bard of Montreal continues to offer dark, melancholic masterpieces like “Hallelujah” to a generation hungry for gnomic, religious wisdom and worldly storytelling.

★ Leonard Cohen (Saturday and Sunday) Still a spry and emotional performer of the highest caliber, Mr. Cohen has enjoyed a broad resurgence since the release last year of his 12th studio album, “Old Ideas” (Columbia). The lyrics of this poet turned musician, delivered in his contemplative baritone, are eloquent and frank ruminations on mortality. Oh, and can the man wear a fedora. At 8 p.m., Radio City Music Hall, (866) 858-0008, ticketmaster.com; sold out on Saturday; $129.50 to $250 remaining on Sunday. (Anderson)

Leonard Cohen.

Leonard Cohen returns to Manhattan to play Radio City Music Hall as part of his “Old Ideas World Tour.” The legendary sunglasses-and-black-chapeau-sporting singer/songwriter/poet’s first series of North American dates was so popular that he is back for more, so get your tickets now. Has there ever been a better song title than “Famous Blue Raincoat”?

Radio City Music Hall, 1260 Avenue of the Americas, (212) 247-4777, 8pm, Tickets $69.50-$250.

Where was the photo taken? Do you know if Roscoe B. is OK and playing tonite?

Thanks for all your great, dedicated work for the forum!

If Twitter is to be believed, both Carly Rae Jepsen and Elvis Costello are in the audience tonight.

Darn. Wish I hadn't posted that. Now I have a mashup in my head of "Who By Fire" and "Call Me Maybe." That is unfortunate.
