Amusing interview, Ghent 1993

Glorious moments of journalism:

Interviewer: "Are you against racism?"
Leonard: "Not entirely ..."

I: "Are you an engaged artist?"
L: "No, I'm totally self-involved and only interested in myself. It's very difficult for me to get very interested in anybody else."

I: "You have a message for your public tonight?"
L: "The message is exactly what I've said now and I wish I could remember what I said because it was very very good."

I: "Many people say Leonard Cohen takes a long time in bringing out new songs, a new album. Why do you need so much time?"
L: "Because they're perfect. Takes a long time to get things perfect."

Glorious and amusing, indeed! Thank you for sharing this cheerful ray of sunshine!

There are a few of us still floating around in this void, even if we are quiet most of the time. All the best!

How beautiful said by LisaLCFan,, talking in the void. There is very little activity on the forum I sometimes regret. Trying to do my share but it often seems a drop of water in the dessert. I’m not a fan of Facebook, my guess is that a lot of discussions, videoclips, photo’s etc. have moved there so I missing out on that source. But lets enjoy the postings that are being made such as yours Hartmut! And spring is looming and perhaps the promise of more daylight and a bit of sun will inspire more of us to join the conversation again. Furthermore we can look forward some highlight this year such as the meeting in Budapest which for sure will so boost the activity.

Wow . . . Thank you for this incredible share.

You sure this is from 1993?

Sounds like something from two weeks ago.

Holy Moly . . .

EXACT same issues are going on in the exact same countries (If not beyond).

I can't believe he mentioned Canada and Belgium.

Just mind blowing . . .
