I had the very privilege to be in Ghent on August 12th.
It was a magic and rare moment.
You touched my heart so deeply.
' Le souvenir du bonheur n'est plus du bonheur' said Lord Byron. For me the souvenir of your opening concert will remain 'THE' souvenir, and it will bring me happiness again everytime I will call it back to my mind.
With all my admiration and respect.

I'm still completely flabbergasted. I've seen a lot of the biggest artists still alive today and this was without a single doubt one of the best things I've ever seen in my life. Touching, magical, amazing. I took a few pics as well. I'll try and sort them out later and post them.

I'm not really sure about the rules on here so I hope this isn't breaking them - but did anybody bootleg this show and if so is it going to be put up here?

Was there any merchandise at the concert and if so was there anything of particular interest?

Looks Like Rain: a superb video From The Road (literally):

The heavy stuff not gonna come down for awhile, I’d play through.

Cohenites, don’t forget your light rain gear and a seat cushion, it could be damp still at doors.

Good ol' sturgess66 with tons of links... just like the old exciting days of the last tour... so jealous and happy for the Ghent folks - 5 dates! Have fun everyone!

First night's setlist looks monumental; can't wait to see tonight's.

Waiting out the rain, Roscoe offered LC a go on the upright while the Webb Sisters counted in a tune.

The local crew is not concerned about the rain, it will pass they assure us.

Just read my way through 9 pages of reports and pix etc. Have been thinking of you all in Ghent - right now, it's 2.30pm in San Francisco, guess tonight's gig in Ghent is nearly over... Been fantastic to read everyone's comments, but I didn't watch any vids yet. Trying not to before I see Our Man in Dublin in September (probably won't hold out tho)

Thank you to everyone who posted pix, wonderful, Maarten, Jarkko, Sturgess.

All sounds great, can't wait!!
