The No- Smokey LIfe in New York City

Postby lightning » Wed Jan 07, 2004 6:58 am

I hear that in France even the dogs smoke but if you come to New York for the Manhattan 2004 event and are a fool for nicotine expect to spend a lot of time outdoors, standing on the sidewalk puffing away. Mayor Bloomberg has banned smoking from all restaurants, bars, offices and private clubs. Club owners must eject people who insist on smoking or face stiff fines. Tobacco in New York is heavily taxed, therefore expensive. All this is a good excuse to quit now so you can be more comfortable when you join us in the Big Orange (code orange that is, formerly the Big Apple).
