UK CONCERTS
jUST THOUGHT I WOULD START THIS THREAD--MAYBE OTHERS CAN ADD WHAT THEY THINK OF ANY POSSIBLE DATES----OR ARE WE GOING TO BE COMPLETELY MISSED OUT AGAIN.???
Re: UK CONCERTS
Hopefully we will be included. I see from Leonard's tour schedule that the biggest gap is between Dublin on 12th September (very close) and Verona on 25th September, 13 days. He could easily fit in a couple od nights at The Royal Albert Hall. Have checked their website and so far there's nothing scheduled for 17th - 20th September, fingers crossed in a big way!!!

Re: UK CONCERTS
Actually, there has been a fair bit of discussion about the UK in other threads. Both Jarkko and Rob Hallett (head of AEG in London, the international tour organizer) have offered illuminating comments. Nothing has yet been publicly announced, but at this point it seems there are only plans for a single concert in the UK this year (well, it is not entirely clear if they mean only one concert, or one location with multiple concerts). The concert in question is said to be at an outdoor venue (so not the Royal Albert Hall). It has also been implied that there are likely to be several concerts later in the tour (presumably in 2013).

That's exciting news, will have to check out the other threads

Why can't we have three nights at the Royal Festival Hall
Paris has consecutive nights at the Olympia.

Re: UK CONCERTS
Bean - Totally agree. The Royal Festival Hall is a perfect venue, with excellent sound and a fair ticketing system (also set in a great enviroment). Plenty of restaurants and Travel Lodge nearby too. Brian Wilson has played there 28 times in the past decade, and calls it his spiritual home. Leonard ticket prices would presumably be higher there, but it would be well worth it.

Rather small, as I recall (that's another place I've seen Brian play). Prestigious venue of course with nice surroundings, but the sound wasn't good at the show that I attended there.

Re: UK CONCERTS
Manchester Opera House was a lovely venue.... although we're spoilt here in Ireland, I'm hoping for some "intimate" UK gigs to appear... Manchester again would be great!
you may be right, I may be crazy.... but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for...

Re: UK CONCERTS
A few nights in a row at Manchester Opera house would be wonderful, and keep travelling and costs down for the band and crew, while allowing lots of people a more intimate concert.
Outdoor in the UK is not good at all.

Re: UK CONCERTS
I would prefer it not to be outdoors
