The Shrek connection to Old Ideas

I don't know if anyone else has come across this but Dana Glover, Leonard Cohen and Patrick Leonard have a "Shrek connection" from the original one.
Maybe that's how they all came together again on Old Ideas from initally both of these songs being involved in this movie.

Dana Glover is great on the album. Her voice along Leonard's is brand new accomplishment and I hope she will continue to work with Leonard.

Listening to her voice brought a different dimension to the songs. I wanted to know more about her and in doing so I discovered the above relationship.

And yet the voice that I find is a standout for me in this album is Sharon's.

Of course. I miss Sharon's production but I was so glad to hear that she's all over the record 'round Leonard's voice... That's the way it should be.
