Constance, a very good review, you have a way with words.

Now I know why I don't have a blog and review albums, my review for Old Ideas would be:

Track 1: Like a lot
Track 2: Like a lot
Track 3: Like a lot
Track 4: Like a lot, my favorite on the album
Track 5: Like
Track 6: Like
Track 7: Like a lot
Track 8: Not particularly fond of, but will probably like after I listen to it more
Track 9: Like a lot
Track 10: Like

Summary: All in all, a very likeable album
2010 DECEMBER 10 - CAESARS COLOSSEUM, LAS VEGAS / 2012 SEPTEMBER 28 - L'OLYMPIA, PARIS
2012 OCTOBER 3 - PALAU SANT JORDI, BARCELONA / 2012 DECEMBER 13 - K-ROCK CENTRE, KINGSTON

I love this album. I don't think there's a single track on it that lets it down. I especially love 'I'm going home'.

Welcome to the Forum!

I'm pretty sure, that's one of his famous notebooks.

... From 2012 BBC interview:
Jarvis Cocker

I was going to ask you about how you kept track you said that you let Pat Leonard
look at your notebooks I was going to ask you about that because I have heard that
sometimes it take a long time for a song to come to fruition how do you keep tabs on
where things are if you work on them over the years are you scared that you are
going to lose a notebook or something like that

Leonard Cohen

Oh yes I live in deep fear of losing a notebook but I have lost a lot of them

Jarvis Cocker

Yeah

Leonard Cohen

There are some masterpieces there
Another example: LC talks about his work on the next album (Old Ideas) and shows a notebook in 2006 - https://youtu.be/hPUlVUWrv9E?t=7m42s
