An author and Harvard professor he's been named by Time Magazine as one of the world's 100 most influential scientists and thinkers...

Love how so many of the 'thinkers' love Leonard's music.
Of course, this particular song appears to be a rather 'personal' choice.
However, he still must listen to Leonard. [I know that he could have heard just this song, but I prefer to think he listens to him.]

Looking Pinker up on wiki, he is from Montreal and attended McGill so it is hardly surprising he chose a Leonard Cohen tune. His position on music's role in cognitive development is interesting, but strikes a diminished chord....

Maybe his next book will be called The Music Instinct, a companion volume to The Language Instinct!
