He did once, but he made an ass of himself,
and he's never been invited back.

Hi Lissa
If you click on Cohen & the Internet (in the column on the left) and then go to the bottom of that page and click on Leonard in the chatroom, you will find a conversation from 2001. It's been a long time.

Hi St. Theresa,

Thanks for the link. I'm glad that Lissa raised this question, as I've never read about Leonard's visit, before. Ironically, I tried to join the chatroom myself in 2001, but couldn't get in and gave up on it (the main site is so active recently, that's it's more like a chatroom, here now). Anyway, poor Leonard! Imagine being subjected to that onslaught?....no wonder he never came back!

I guess it's relatively rare for artists to visit fan sites, though Brian Wilson used to come online quite regularly. In fact, a few years ago (if we made a $100 donation to the hurricane Katrina fund) he rang us up individually. He ended up speaking to 500 people - mostly for a minute or two, and came across as surprisingly articulate and focused.

All good things, John E

You'll find few posts and messages to the Forum here from LC, posted via Jarkko (and even one, posted by me). But LC is not following the Forum or posting here personally, no.

Hi Lissa - if you're using a Mac you may have to download an additional application - I think it tells you what you need.

I don't have a Mac. Not sure why I can get into the chat. I just get a blank page.

Time zones around the world affect who is available at particular times. When you tried it is likely most Europeans were in bed. Keep trying. I don't visit the chat room very often myself but when I have there are normally about 5 or 6 people who drop in for maybe an hour or longer.
