Fabulous video capture! Thanks for all your time and hard work to share it with us.

After 3.58. I was intrigued with his making the sign of the cross (starting at the neck rather than the traditional forehead). As far as I remember (which may be faulty), LC did not do that at any of the concerts which I attended. But I do recall several posts on the forum where that gesture was reported -Wiesbaden (Heike). Lille (burningviolin) and Margarethen-Burgenland (Neo).

I also was interested to see he went back to singing "sacred" heart. Lately, he seems to alternate "mighty" with "sacred". After the anticipatory pause. I always wonder, okay, which one will he use now. I just love how he fine tunes his lyrics at each concert.

Good luck again, Alan with your next uploads. I applaud your determination.

I always assumed that Cohen making the sign of the cross went unnoticed until people were talking about it and knew when to look for it...

Something that I did not notice before is, that Cohen puts his thumb to his nose when singing "when you've done a little line or two" (@ 2:58) for making a sniff...

Leonard made the sign of the cross in Florence too. And he kissed his finger after. Look at this super passional version. It was fantastic!!!!!! I adore this video. (In Bratislava he was even more stronger, but unfortunately there is no video recording).

As it happens, my memory is faulty. Well, I am a senior. :D
And then again, Alan's video closeup is so remarkable. it made me more aware of LC's subtle choreography, passing the mic to his left hand so his right hand would be free to perform the traditional gesture.

I took a look at my own videos from Gothenburg, Berlin and Ghent.
Goththeburg, no sign of the cross - "mighty" heart
Berlin - yes cross - "sacred" heart
Ghent -yes cross -"scared" heart.

Perhaps this is not quite as uncommon as I thought.

Actually this goes back to the beginning of the 2010 tour. It did not go unnoticed. :D

As reported by Tom Sakic -
Everybody Knows: in Zagreb it was "sacred heart", in Salzburg "mighty heart"; both times LC crossed the heart with his finger.

neo, you sure are one cool dude. :D That's another example of LC's subtle choreography.

Thank you very much Arlene!
I don't know why I had to watch the nth video of Everybody Knows until this little detail popped up right before my eyes.
I checked gallina's Florence video and is was in a slight variation there too.
I guess there are maybe some more hidden gems of Cohen's choreography out there...

And many thanks to all those great filmers who share their videos and let us discover these things!

I am so sorry that you are still having upload problems. I admire your determination to upload a video that takes almost 10 hours.

It was all worth it from the viewer's aspect. Your video is outstanding!

Looking forward to seeing your last one from Adelaide.

Any chance you can sneak out to go to Perth for a day or two? You can always maintain at home that you had temporary amnesia. :D

11 hours and 10 minutes - I suppose this may give comfort to others who like me, have exceeded their monthly broadband allowance. Upload at Dial-up speed eventually works.

Now for a sip of South Australian wine = best in the world, sorry all you Californians.
