Wow Chris! Thanks for sharing that.
Brilliant drummer and timekeeper indeed.
The contrast between him and his music and Leonard is startling, but no band could survive without a percussionist.

Thanks again

This is just the contrast in the music I hear:D
In general I enjoy listening to rock-music,Tool,Soundgarden,Porcupine Tree,Police,etc...
but like Leonard, there are some nice exceptions in my taste;)
AND with no doubt, I love Leonards music as much as everything other I hear.

Argh...sounds like bad English here :-D

Because of..... this Forum. 2008-2010 turned into 2 of the best years of my life.

I went to the best concerts I have ever seen with the most magnificent musicians.

I visited countries and cities, I would probably never have seen.

I met the most amazing wonderful people.

I drank a lot of beer. I sang a lot of songs. I had too many laughs to mention .

I even climbed the highest peak in the United Kingdom.

because of Leonard Cohen and this Forum.

After a lot of patience, persistance and pestering and a few prayers, I was very privileged to meet Leonard before the Dortmund concert in September.

I won't mention any names ( you know who you are).... but thank you so very much for making it possible for me to spend a little time with him.

He was just wonderful and completely gracious and kind and funny of course.

Here is my photo which I would like to share with you.

Happy Christmas everyone

Great stuff, Tinderella - Wish I had been there, too. Len looks so tense on the Vegas posing pictures, but here he seems to be all yours.

Thanks everyone. Ken, just as well Liverpool humour is the same as Irish. Oh apologies to my Scot friends, I meant to say the highest peak in England and Wales there.
Margaret, I got my keyring like you after all :)

Ute, of all the cities in all the world, I had to meet him in Dortmund, so it goes without saying that from now on, I will be a Borussia Dortmund supporter :) :)
