Yeah, it was nice to meet a member of the band who's taller than me, I had to practically kneel for my photo with Charley Webb :)

brightnow how did you get to meet the band members? Did you get to meet Leonard himself as well? Either way that is awesome and I am still thankful for being able to go to this show.

Hi eyewall and welcome to the forum!

Durham did work out very well for me when it came to meeting the musicians. I met Roscoe Beck, Charley Webb, Javier Mas, Sharon Robinson and Hattie Webb after the show. The next morning I ran into Dino Soldo, Raphael Gayol and (I still can't believe this myself) the man himself. Some stayed to chat longer than others but all were very kind when it came to autographs and photo-ops. I saw Bob Metzger and Neil Larson but they seemed busy and I thought it would be inappropriate to bother them.

The two best ways to meet the band are:
1. Show up early (when early entrance is announced), members of the band have been known to hang out in the lobby (usually around the merchandise area) during early entrance
2. The old fashioned way: hang out by the stage door after the concert.

Obviously, there are no guarantees, but if you keep at it long enough you are bound to bump into at least some of them.

As for meeting Leonard, that's much trickier. You can read about some of the circumstances under which this miracle has happened in the "cncounters" thread here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13968.

Needless to say, the musicians are kind to us and we should return the favor: be polite, respect their privacy and their time. If you run into someone (especially our man) at a hotel or restaurant do not disclose the location publicly, we don't want them to be stormed the next time they visit there (remember: it's not just us fans out there, there are for-profit autograph hunters, photographers and journalists who are in it for the money, we don't want to help them haunt the people that have been so nice to us)

Glad you enjoyed the show!

Avi

It all worked out, Leonard. It might not be the kind of love you wanted, but you've been all over the world, and found out the world loves you - just like you are! How could it get any better than that? Thank you for an incredible concert; it will last a very long time!
