And terrific pictures too.

Question - do you recall where in the set list "That Other Blues Song" fits?

Linda,
DId you hear the new/different verse in the middle of the song?
It's not clear enough for me to get the whole thing:
I think it begins:

I miss you baby....
........
I've been waiting in the distance but the distance is (I think it's is and not "isn't") close enough.

Also, the beginning is different , with more organ and no guitar solo, and there's an organ solo in the middle. It has a really different feel from the Chicago performance, don't you think?

Awesome! I love this new song! Did you all notice Leonard's big smile at the end (and on the video from Chicago)? Wonderful!

Here are the lyrics for the new verse:

I miss you, baby
Just nothin' like it was
It's just a little stroll now
On the other side of love
I see you waving in the distance, aahhh,
Aahh, but you're close enough
I see you waving in the distance
But the distance is close enough.

In Chicago - he apparently did it in place of "Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye." Maybe the same in Asheville?

And thanks for the new lyrics Lisa! YouTube is a bummer for me right now - keeps starting and stopping.

And I did notice - new arrangements already Sue?   They will probably be working away at it - and where she stops - nobody knows!

Considering the time, it makes sense...

The new blues piece sounded far more together, less tentative, than the Utube vid from Rosemont.

All told, other than the poor ventilation in the venue, there was nothing to complain about. The sound was mixed extremely well, every note played or sung was clearly audible and present as intended by the musicians and vocalists.

Getting to hear a new piece in concert is always fun, sort of like Unbroken Chain in 1995; hope it bodes well.

I'd like to see an accurate set list.
We both agreed, driving home from Asheville that this was one of the best concerts we've ever been privileged to attend.

Well done dsotm07, that is a great capture. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

This is such a special thing, like being present at a birth, listening to the new words being unveiled and to the musicians developing their backing. It is just awesome, like watching a rose slowly opening into its full beauty.

Also, the delight of the audience is evident, the gentle laughs of amusement at his humour then the rapt silence as the words unfold. He acknowldges their appreciation with his enormous smile at the end of the song. How wonderful it must have been to be there.

It is amusing that the song doesn't have a title yet it seems, Leonard is doing a Jarkko - keeping us in suspenders! My guess would be "Feels So Good".
