Hi everyone.
I was pretty much against using a photo of Cohen in any way, as I don't think he would want to see himself. But I really love Eija's photo, as it is a photo of Cohen "without Cohen", in a way, so I just had to do somehting with it. So here it is:

Image

In one of the bluish light strips I used photo of the band members, bigger than the other photos (which will finally be the forum members). I think maybe everything should be a bit lighter, the photo is somewhat dark... I'm not sure (oh yeah, and don't comment on me cutting off half of Bob Metzger's head in the background, I was in a hurry; I promise not to do it next time ;-) ).

Laura, I noticed you used photos from Antwerp! Don't think there are many other concerts where virtually everyone stripped down. Your mosaic is beautiful and I think perhaps Jarkko's excellent photo of Leonard could work. I also don't think Bob would mind his head being slightly removed, although there were several "normal" shots of him in the mosaic! Excellent work. You and Redstudio are amazing with your computer artistry!

I removed some of the symbols from the guitar image. Burningviolin, I was working on combining this with one of the band on the bottom. It isn't done yet. It sounds like a good idea. Sorry for my inability to get it finished quickly but it will get done. Laura and I are doing all these images to really learn the mosaic program and come out with a good result that is from the heart.Pam

Laua's last mosaic is amazing. The idea of the band being in the light strip is great and the picture itself is the best choice, anyway.
Redstudio's mosaic is also nice, but there's someting about Laura's that got me hooked.

I think Laura's mosaic above is absolutely outstanding. It gripped me immediately, and I couldn't understand why ... until I realised that it shows the light getting in !!!

I think Pam and Laura you are both doing a great job! I can't see Laura's image at the top of this page though, all I see is the written word 'image' where the picture should be! Anyway, keep up the good work, I think its close now. :D

Edit, using different computer can see it now. Wow!

Great work, Laura - I especially like the headshot of Leonard in the cap.

I support the idea of giving both video and mosaic if we can.

Laura,

well done, I am impressed with the outcome of your effort, it really captures the specific mood of the original and at the same time transfers it, if you know what I mean.

I finished an image that I have been working on trying to combine the symbols with an image of the band. The one that worked best together is the unified hearts symbol. Pam

Pam,

This is by far my favorite to date! From what little I understand of the process, it also seems like this picture would work well for the mosaic. The colors are so striking. You and Laura are doing such a phenomenal job on this whole project!

Best regards,

Yes, Pam - I have to say that that one is indeed very beautiful; the coolurs really make it especially attractive, if you ask me, too! Thanks for all the work you put into this...

Pam, your latest mosaic is breathtaking! Tons of colour and it encompasses everyone on stage. Would be interesting to see how it translates to small photos but it is lovely! You and Laura are simply amazing!

All the best,

Thank you Laura and Pam and all of you working on this. I would have no idea what to do and you are all so talented.

I especially like the one with the light coming through and showing the different band members that Laura came up with
and the last one is awesome too....with the band and heart..
Just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for the hard work on the mosaic.
Thanks!
