What is the easiest way to get to Hotel Bcn Montjuic from the airport ? Is the hotel far away from Sala Vivaldi?

Re your post about a regular bus 46 - I need to go to Place Cataluna for my hotel in Las Ramblas - is there also a regular bus that goes from the airport to Cataluna? I know there is an Aerobus A1 (my hotel told me).

Other question as you are a native of Barcelona and this is my first visit, if you would be so kind - is there any kind of travel card type system there? I.e. that woud be valid for a few days on all ordinary public transport (Bus and Metro?) this would seem to more viable option financially as I'll be there until Thursday, and no doubt will be travelling around the city a bit. And if so, can I buy it at the airport? Or where?

There is such a system in London where I live.
To plaza Catalunya you need the aerobus. 4,5€. (http://www.bcn.es/turisme/english/turisme/welcome.htm).

As said in another post you can use a T10 (1 zone) as a travel card. You can use it in buses and metro. You can buy it in metro stations, you can pay in € or with credit card, it costs 7,70€. You have 10 rides and can be used by more than a person at a time.
Transport information in English:

Hope it helps

From the airport take the 46BUS and stop at GRAN VIA/SANTA DOROTEA in less than 5 min you will find your hotel.

To go to Sala Vivaldi take the same BUS at the same place, then take off at the second stop PARALEL/LLANÇA.

Don't forget that taxis in BCN are far less expensive than in other major cities in Europe and US.
Taxis can take 4 people, it can be less expensive than taking public transport.

We were sat centre front at Valencia tonight and saw events unfold before our eyes. This is what I wrote on another thread.

The concert in Valencia started on time but Leonard did not seem on top of his game. He was missing lines & words out. We thought he must be very tired after a heavy week with lots of travelling and several concerts. Then, at the start of Bird on a Wire, he put the microphone back on its stand and went off stage. I have never seen Leonard do that before in umpteen concerts. Meanwhile the band improvised. Then in the instrumental break he took off his hat and sat down on the drum risers. I have never seen him do that before. Then - horror of horrors - he quietly crumpled to the floor. The band stopped playing immediately. Everyone rushed to him and they started to escort him from the stage but he collapsed at least once more on the way. They asked us to wait for a while and suggested that the concert would restart after a short pause. However, almost an hour later, Javier and Roscoe came out. Javier made an announcement in Spanish which I struggled to understand (I got most of the words but couldn't be sure I understood what the sentences meant). I was at the front so I yelled out in Spanish that we were English and did not understood. Roscoe either recognised me or recognised my words because he nodded and stepped up to the microphone to say - for those who did not understand Spanish - that Leonard was OK. It was nothing serious, just a digestive problem but that he could not go on with the concert and that they would try and rearrange it. I hope he is OK. To be honest we are still in a state of shock after our 4 hour drive back to Barcelona from Valencia.

Leonard is feeling fine according to Robert Kory. Marie contacted Robert, who immediately got back to her with the news that it was a slight case of food poisoning. Leonard is back at his hotel resting. Link to Marie's thread is

Wendy,

I replied to you on the other thread, but perhaps you are still up. Per Robert Kory it was food poisoning. Leonard is back in his hotel and resting "comfortably", as they say. Looks like everything will be okay but what an awful scare. I can't even imagine how it must have been for you to be witnessing it. Perhaps you were the only English speaking fan there.... in that case, many thanks to Roscoe for letting you know what was happening. Dino was right into everything with Twitter and trying to keep us all informed and not anxious....hah!

Take care and sleep in today....you need it.

Thank you all for keeping us informed. Wendy, take care. See you soon.

I have also heard the concern reflected in Javier Mas

Now the news seems good. We must be careful with these tapas and paellas.

I agree when we say that the most important is the health and comfort of Leonard, everything else is secondary. We have received a lot from him.

All we can do is hold together and try to send to him our love and best wishes. toni

Was so shocked to hear about this, I hope Leonard is recuperating well, will completely understand if he doesn't feel up to the show on Monday. All my thoughts are with you Leonard.

On a somewhat lighter note, and as he seems to be feeling better already - the Webb sisters say so on facebook, too -, anyone else in town tonight already? I know you are, Eric / birdonawire, and how about you, Nico? Perhaps, if anyone is and wants to meet up for a drink or two, feel free to contact me! Either on this thread or a pm, whichever way, will check again for emails in the late afternoon!

As I head to bed in America, it is 2am Sunday in Barcelona. How exciting all this is! Tomorrow, or actually later today for you, begin the celebrations. I am with all of you in spirit and I know you will give our Leonard a rousing Happy Birthday on Monday! Enjoy every moment!

All the best,
Diana
