Montreal, indeed, would be the perfect closure to the tour.....but I don't think so. We will have to wait and see. Heck, this tour could go on for another couple of years! :D :D :D :D

As I sit here listening to the O2 concert for the umpteenth time, I would like to vote for Montreal as the final venue as well. Place des Arts, or a big outdoor concert like last June!

Besides being Leonard's hometown ( mine as well), there has to be a certain calmness to end a tour where the locals know Leonard as one of the locals....no big deal, welcome but not as a celebrity. I have read somewhere he has written songs at a table in one of the local delis, where he is "just Leonard". Anyway, a farewell to those who relate to him in a natural way....

Leonard from Montreal...same name...same town...no Golden Voice

Yes - I think Montreal would be a good choice as the final venue for the tour. Philadelphia - Academy of Music - and then - almost due north - on to Montreal.

Unfortunately that's something that's not going to happen.

Jarkko, is that a definite "no" on another North American leg for the tour?

My comment was only about the "last concert" in Montreal.

My hands have been shaking, trying to stem my compulsion to purchase a ticket in Europe. This is so so difficult. Barcelona (Leonard's birthday and several friends attending)...Venice (omg...the Piazza San Marco!)....Dublin (a friend there too, plus the entire wild Irish contingent who love Leonard SO much!). You have NO idea how difficult this is!

But..I am resting in the hope that there will indeed be a few select concerts in the US in the mid to late fall. My credit cards will await these possibilities, and I will go to as many as I can!

Please...everyone on the Tour...keep healthy...we love you and want to see you on this side of the Atlantic once again!

Diana

Any chance of more N.A. tour dates?

I can't believe my bad luck. I've been a fan since my teens, (that was long time ago), and everytime Mr. Cohen has performed live near me, something prevents me from attending. I saw him only once, May 12, in front of Indigo in downtown Toronto. It was wonderful. Recently, I had tickets for the May 19 Hamilton engagement...and came down with pneumonia. I gave my tickets to a friend, who now cruelly won't stop telling me how great it was. Is there any chance there'll be any more shows ANYWHERE near Toronto??

Diana I can totally relate to everything you said!
I have been reading the Barcelona meetups and it sounds so exciting..especially seeing Mary and George
and Mollydog you are all going.
Yes lets hope they keep on going and can come back to North America to tour more.
That will be easier on the pocketbook..though Europe would be divine!

Hi Leslie,

This will be such a difficult summer as I want SO SO much to be over there...especially either Dublin, Venice or (the creme de la creme) Barcelona! Unfortunately I will have to follow everyone vicariously. Lots of YouTube, Forum reports, Twitter, Joey's photos on flickr, and Facebook! And when Barcelona comes around I will rely totally on Mary to fill me in on every little detail. BUT...we have autumn in America! :D

See you then!

Hi Leslie and Diana,

You can rest assured - I will definitely let you know all. It all hinges on me getting there in the first place  . Standby can be such a roll of the dice! But once there (with a lot of luck), there will be 'so many people I'll just have to meet' 8) 8) . Ooooh, the juiciness of it all!

Warmest regards,
Mary
