Cardiff meetup
Cardiff meetup
Hi Folks,
The tickets state doors open 6.30, performance at 8. Given the fact that there is a rugby international and pubs will have queues to get in, lets meet at the venue bar at 6.30. This is our best bet.
Anyone wanting to meet earlier, the nearest pub to the venue is "The Traders Tavern".
Rob.

Rob,
Thats a great start to the Cardiff gig could I suggest that a meet up could be sorted for the afternoon of the show that is prior to, say lunchtime onwards. We will be there anyway just see who makes anymore arrrangments. Whatever goes down I'll see ye all there

Re: Cardiff meetup
You're right Rob, there's nothing else to do. I was in Cardiff today, and checked to see if anywhere had a function room we could book. The Yard could accommodate for £95 a head (free buffet included). Corporate hospitality prices only, on an international weekend it seems. So, the CIA it is then. See everyone at 6.30.Rob wrote:Hi Folks,

(Gregor, those of us returning to Bridgend after the concert will have a drink when we get back.)

Hi jdhayes,
We are meeting at the International Arena, where Leonard is playing, when it opens, which is at 6.30pm. See you there .
Some of us are meeting for a pub lunch at midday on Sunday 9th, at Monknash, about 20 miles out of Cardiff, to the west, on the coast. If anyone else is interested in joining us, pm me.

Hi everyone,
The day draws nearer! One of the party I got tickets for is unable to go. One good ticket going if you know of anyone.

Re: Cardiff meetup
Our group have agreed to meet up for a meal in a restuarant. But I just got a note from the venue advertising their own meals [choice of 3 not very awesome looking dishes]. Am tempted to move us over so we would be right on the spot an not have to rush.
But can anyone say what the 'resturant' or whatever it is at the CIA is like ?
Thanks for any help !

Re: Cardiff meetup
Hi Paddieu, there is no restaurant in the CIA (although they do have many side rooms used for business conferences and such, that they might be using for this purpose? The set-up varies from event to event). There is normally food available - I have a recollection of a tasty grilled panini - but you will likely be eating standing up. I'd phone to clarify if I were you.

thanks ! will do !
Re: Cardiff meetup
It's getting worse.
I have not been to the CIA for a very long time, a friend who has tells me that the bar sells cans and bottles only, a can of warm beer for £3.
As much as I would love to have taken you around the purveyors of the finest ales in Cardiff, it is not to be. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Re: Cardiff meetup
Is anyone meeting up for the Rugby before the CIA meet up? If so where are people thinking?
Re: Cardiff meetup
Hey,
gotta spare ticket for CIA, Blk 1 Row H, really good seat, but I have to work the next day on the south coast. Cost me nearly £90, inc all the admin fees, etc etc, but will sell for less than I paid - £75.
Anyone interested? Otherwise I'll be travelling from London - Cardiff on Saturday, and trying to find somewhere to park!
