The iconic exhibition 0n Leonard´s life and work "A crack in everything", originally presented at the MAC in Montreal in 2017, is now running in Copenhagen, up to 13th of April 2020. Read more about the Copenhagen exhibition here en.glstrand.dk › exhibitions › current › leonard-cohen
The exhibition takes place in two art museums: Gl Strand and and Nicolai Kunsthall, five minutes walk between the two exhibition halls. It was an amazing and overwhelming experience, I remembered so strong the wonderful memorial week in Montreal in November 2017. How about a reunion i Copenhagen in April, Jarkko?

Hi anothermarianne,

We have been there yesterday and for the second part today. It was wonderful to see the exhibition again, it was quiet there so we had time to see all parts very well. Not every thing we have seen in Montreal was in this exhibition, but it was certainly worth while here in Copenhagen.

I think if you want to organise a reunion you should make it happen , we know that Jarkko will not do any new organising in the near future.

I am hoping that the exhibition will be complete when it comes to San Francisco. I missed the Montreal one by one day. I missed the New York one because of the hurricane that cancelled my flight. I was hoping the Copenhagen one would go longer, so that Ghent and it could be merged, but many months separate the two. Now, I have only one option left. Wish it would land in Montreal, again, but with permanence.

Wybe may be able to add more but I just missed a few items in Copenhagen. Perhaps the most notable omission was the recreation of Leonard's study in LA with the hologram of Leonard sitting watching the traffic. Also missing are Sharon's Goodbye Stranger and Michael Rakowitz's piece on Leonard's relationship with and time in Israel (withdrawn by the artist after Robert Kory said it was too critical of Leonard according to an interview with the artist) plus the live dance thing.

I was very impressed with the way has been staged in Copenhagen and I'm sure the San Francisco exhibition will also be beautifully done. Hope you can make it.

Wendy

Yes, me, too, Wendy!! I would want to see the elements that you missed. With both San Fran and L.A. being in California, I hope they'll at least do the recreation and the hologram. I'm going to focus very hard on being able to get to San Fran for it.

I do not intend to organize anything like a meeting. But our small group of four Bavarian Cohenites will be in Copenhagen for the exhibition 2.4. - 6./7.4.2020. If anyone else will be there, might have a drink or a dinner together.
