65 !?!?! Are you serious!?!
I don't know that I've ever thought to try to figure out your age, or to ask, or to piece together already existing clues. I remember talking with you about your planning to retire and how Finland works it vs. how the U.S. works it [I think it was in Berlin that the conversation took place... or was it Cracow... one or the other; you, Eija, and I were walking together to an activity's location and walked across a river and then UP to the building, where the river ran alongside it.. Anyway, regardless, I have NEVER had you in my mind as being even near that age [or the relative age in whatever year I would be thinking about it]. I'm AMAZED!

SO, hoping this is a great year for you as you ease into your well-deserved retirement and continue with us in your LC world of work and play 8) .

This brings back memories from my 60th birthday in Ghent.
After the concert I thanked (with tongue-in-cheek) Leonard for doing such a wonderful concert to celebrate my birthday.
He said, "oh, you don't look a day older than 60"

Happy Belated Birthday Jarkko!

Wishing you a long life filled with peace, prosperity, love, and joy. May you always be surrounded by the people you love and those who love you.

Hope your retirement is all you want it to be. Why does it seem though that the older we get, the busier we are? Again, thank you so very much for all the work you do for all of us!

Affectionate regards,
George and Mary

what will happen when you DO retire, or for any other reason cannot continue? have you made arrangements for someone else to take over, or will everything just disappear for ever?

Good question - something that we all have to think over, not just Cohen-wise but regarding everything in our lives.

Rauli has all the technical information and access to my sites, and would be able to hand over the sites to the new webmaster(s) if something unexpected happened. He would keep them online as long as necessary for the transition.

On The Forum we have a number of very competent moderators who'd be able to take over and possibly recruit some more activists. It's also obvious that the continuity of our Events is secured, thanks to several members who already have plans to host and organize one of those in the future around Europe. For our Hydra meet-ups we already have an experienced team.

The Files might be the biggest challenge, but on the other hand we have several activists in the younger generations, friends who have already experience in webhosting. Maybe one of them - or some together - would be willing to take over.
