When we were at the LC concert at Dublin O2 last year, there was a white-haired gentleman sitting in front of us. He was obviously quite an important person as he had what appeared to be a bodyguard sitting close by with his back to the stage and a small entourage. Before the concert and during the interval several people came and spoke to him.

I have just seen this same gentleman on the television with the Queen - his is none other than the President of Ireland.

He was sat centre front for the second Kilmainham show in September 2012. It was the only night that security were remotely effective.

I am surprised someone didn't tell you at the time who he was!
He was shown on the screens once and got a big cheer.
