By such instructions you prepare a man/a girl for Boogie Street...

Oh the cups of mercy,
will soon make you poisoned or gone.
They were waiting for me
when I longed for a coffee so strong.
That's all very nice, Pearlvoice, but we expect more of you. - Where is the MP3 file of this song?

Also, you have to be a little bit more careful with the number of syllables.

So may I suggest:

Oh the lead cups of mercy

And finally, on a different note:
Now we know why the hammered cup is ... well: hammered. - A frustrated buyer did this.

[quoteI mean what do you do with a mug you cannot use but for decoration - especially when it is not exactly art decor? [/quote]

Mine is on my desk at work; it holds my pens and pencils. Works great. :) :)

I like to fondly refer to mine as "The Cup of Mercury"

Oh Hartmut, I wasn't aware that I revealed to you that I'm a singer indeed 8) I would, in fact, gladly deliver a recording. Unfortunately I can't record at home at the moment. But will do as soon as the computer cooperates again. Do you want to play the guitar?

You didn't.

Yes, we could do that. - Sisters of Mercy is not that hard to play, as far as I remember.

What do you want to do with the pins, stick them in that voodoo doll? Toxic cups, pins... What a charming little shop... :)

Excellent!
And yet, I still find it weird that Pearlvoice and I seem to be the only ones who see the serious side to that poisoned chalice.

Work is strenuous enough without a poisonous cup on the desk. I'd rather go for something decorative. 8)

 And the phrase "Don't catch a summer cold" feels just a tiny little bit sarcastic now
   This is rapidly turning into my favourite thread of the moment!
I absolutely second that  It is so good to laugh because this online shop also definitely confirms the end of the tour :( :(

The poisoned chalice is sold no more... at least not in the internet shop. Coincidence? Someone worried about our health? Or have you guys simply bought the last mugs and they are out of stock?

I received my cup yesterday. Using it to hold pens etc. It is lovely though. :D It will be a collectors item no doubt.
