Jarkko, that is wonderful news that I know all of us have been anticipating!! Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to attend Krakow, so the question now is.....when should this be available for regular purchase?

You lucky people..... :D

The release date has not been confirmed yet, but sometime in the fall, and definitely before Xmas.
Sorry to hear that you don't make it to Krakow - we will also have so many great artists, and the city itself is magnificent.

Good news! That will help compensate for no UK concert this year. I trust they'll bring it out, on a regular DVD version, too? I refuse to fall for the BluRay hype.

Does this mean the blu-ray will only have twelve songs in total?

Or is that the preview screening that only has twelve, plus interviews with musicians?

Can't wait to know more, but hope we will be treated to lots of songs on it!

"Songs from the Road" will have 12 songs. Most of them (8) are songs that were not performed at O2 in London in July 2008, and therefore are not on the London DVD. This new footage has been filmed in high definition in various locations in 2008-9. All songs are from the existing catalogue (no live versions of the songs in progress). I'd expect that it will be available both as DVD and BluRay (not confirmed).

This thread was locked last night, when I first read your posting, Jarkko. Good to see it's been opened, and I just want to say how happy I am that we'll be hearing it or parts of it in Krakow. I dreamt about Leonard last night, perhaps based on having read this thread. At least you'll be seeing Leonard, in lieu of the Event... such paltry compensation, Diana ;-) .

***This thread has not been locked!!! You have seen my identical first message in the Krakow section! It is locked, to keep the discussion about the forthcoming DVD in just one thread. I think the News section is a better home for the messages than the Event section. / Jarkko***

I was wondering about that because there were no screens (i.e., no film) at the Nashville TPAC at the premiere of "The Darkness" or I believe, at the Chicago Rosemont for "Feels So Good". And no screens in St Louis and Kansas City. However, there were screens in Las Vegas and San Jose. Also, I don't know how often "Lullaby" was filmed at concerts.

I suppose it makes more marketing sense to hold back the new songs for their release in the new album. :D

And maybe a DVD sequel, MORE Songs from the Road :D

This is great, though I really hope they release this on DVD, as I do not have a BluRay player
