Leonard for Canada

Post by mutti » Sat May 22, 2010 3:39 pm

Leonard please come back to Canada!
"Wouldn't it be great if that became a reality!"
"Does anyone share my longing for this to happen?"
(to quote Marie in the Leonard for Ireland thread)...

We await you with open arms, big smiles and lots of love...
Thank you in advance for considering coming back as soon as it works for you!

ohhhh yes!!!!!

I have dreams of seeing him again in Montreal but I'd do my best to get to where ever he'd like to play.

This spring is missing something without a Leonard Cohen Concert to look forward to - at least I'll get to read the reports.

Of course! Leonard is always wanted in Canada--that goes without saying?
I know he is now a world citizen, but my heart is filled with some kind of silly pride
that he is Canadian. I was hoping that I might meet him (or at least see him perform) on some travels this year, as I did in Portugal just two years ago now. But so far no luck!
Well then maybe when I return home in mid-November....

Oh man, if he comes back to Montreal...I'm driving up there...AGAIN......wonder what they'll say when I cross the border this time? "Ma'am, we just can't believe you've driven all the way up from Kentucky AGAIN! Step out of your car please!"

That's not silly, at all, St. Theresa. You have every right to and Oh, Canada... Such a gift you've given the world! Yes, of course, on the truth of Leonard being his own person and a world citizen, but still... Montreal is his roots!

"Puleez"..........(as Roscoe says)!
In San Jose so many people told me they would come from all over the world to a Canadian concert or concerts...

I don't even live there anymore but am Canadian and it's 'home' to me and I would go in a flash!

Oh yes!! Though I've been travelling the world to see Our Man, & continue to do so, & I've also been fortunate enough to see him in my home city of NYC when I still lived there, Canada would seem like walking distance from where I live now in CT, compared to the places I've been going to (& I'm not complaining about that - it's a great priviliege to be able to do so) - but Canada would be an instantaneous YES! And I would love to see Leonard in HIS hometown or home country! Plus, I have a friend to whom I've introduced Leonard's music, & she can't travel to faraway places, but I'm pretty sure she would go to Canada & I would truly love for her to see him live.

Leonard has been so generous to perform at so many venues around the world, that I feel kind of greedy for asking for this - but I have been wishing for it, so I'll join the chorus - I would go to Canada in a flash, & with great joy, to see The Man!!
