Leonard chosen by Carly Simon

On radio 2 this morning Carly Simon chose Leonard Cohen's Suzanne as one of her "Track of my years".
She told Zoe Ball that she had never met Leonard Cohen but had always wanted to, and felt that he was very special and that they were kindred souls.Suzanne was the first song of Leonard's that she had heard, performed by Judy Collins, and though his version may be less melodic and more gravelly, less arranged it's still wonderful whoever sings it.
She would love to meet him face to face. (get in line Honey!)

Thanks for sharing Carly's perspective on Leonard, kwills :D . I love Carly Simon, the 'nature' of her personal energy, her lyrics, her voice, and her music. I have a feeling Leonard would love to meet her, too.

Thanks kwills,
for that info and I wonder how many other singers have that same inclination about Leonard

Thanks for this --a kindred spirit indeed...we would likely all agree. And now his spirit seems to have touched so many more. I love to hear the accolades pouring in.
