Old songs:
Bird on a wire
the partisan
the story of isaac

"New" songs:
Anthem
Tower of song (old or new??)
Alexandra Leaving

But I think that if he decides to read the first page of a newspaper I would definitely love it too!

would settle for any one of these being included:

closing time (4/1)
a thousand kisses deep (7/5)
sisters of mercy (18/1)

(current odds at Ladbrokes)

I have meant to respond in this topic for a while...it's very hard to pick only 3!

Here goes:

Secret Life because it was the first LC song I heard.

Closing Time because my daughter loves it. (She thinks he says "the women tear their glasses off". It's just as well; she's only 6.)

So Long, Marianne because it is my favorite early song.

I'm guessing (hoping?) that Bird on the Wire, Suzanne, So Long Marianne and Famous Blue Raincoat will be 'must-sings' for every concert. Which means I don't have to pick them in my three :D . So I'm going to go for
Alexandra Leaving
To a Teacher
The Faith

Though I could come back every day between now and the first concert and put up a different three songs, and still not name all my favourites. :)

No matter what the odds at Ladbrokes are, some of my favourites would be:

The Window
One of us cannot be wrong
Take this waltz

And as an encore:
Closing Time
2008: Lörrach/Berlin/Frankfurt/Oberhausen/Manchester
2009: Cologne/Dublin/Barcelona
2010: Berlin/Wiesbaden/Lisboa/Dortmund/Stuttgart/Warszawa
2012: Ghent, August 12/Berlin/Lisboa
2013: Oberhausen/Berlin

Story if Isaac, Bernadette (that song makes me teary), Tower of Song, Last Year's Man, Hallelugah. How can I stop at three? He could sing the yellow pages I would be happy.
It has not sunk in that he is actully coming here, it is very surreal.

Hello,
3 songs are hard to pick amongst all the others... but 'Suzanne', 'First we take Manhatan' and then 'No more a-roving' or 'Never any good' or 'One of us can not be wrong' or 'Bird on a wire' or 'If it be your will' or 'In my secret life' or 'Boogie Street' or...I'd better stop before I list them all.

If It Be Your Will
Light As The Breeze

are the first three that came to the audition my mind just held...

Go No More A Roving
Alexandra Leaving
Boogie Street

are the choice of the newcomers
