hi william
not being one to want to plunge my hand deep into the bloodied side of one so old and frail-but a little proof of your claims would go a long way, maybe a picture of you and the great man, or one of you dining with the lovely webb sisters or maybe even one of the 40 year old photos of a younger william and leonard

no doubt you will come up trumps

your friends thomas and sarah xx

Ah young Sarah my dear,
you read your New Testament!
Your doubting Thomas sidekick is most impressive - as is your reference to plunging your hand into my aged side. If only!
To quote Stewart Chase:
"For those who believe, no proof is necessary. For those who don't believe, no proof is possible.”

And did not the Master, in that same NT passage to which you refer, chide Thomas for needing proof and bless those who believe "though they have not seen."

God bless,
William

PS The New Testament is a worthwhile read.
PPS If 35 in your "handle" refers to your year of birth rather than age, please ignore the young in my salutation. ;-)

William, I may have been the chap who stood behind you in the London 'Greek Tourist Office' when a rather unkempt young man entered and tried to make eye contact with the male assistant with the dark glasses. This would have been about 1960, and I distinctly remember you saying to the young man, "Oi, you, wait in the queue, we was 'ere first, bloody colonials!"
But I could be wrong....
"Bipolar is a roller-coaster ride without a seat belt. One day you're flying with the fireworks; for the next month you're being scraped off the trolley" I said that.

Wow, Fisher's petition obviously did the trick, and I haven't even signed it yet! We dream, yet stranger things could happen.
