It has now been decided that the tour venues will be posted here and on The Files at 00.01 am Greenwich Mean Time / UTC on March 11. All venues have not been confirmed by next Monday, but we will add new cities as soon as they are announced officially. The ticket booking info will also be available at the same time but the booking itself may begin on another day.

I have updated the announcement on the front page of http://www.leonardcohenfiles.com:

Leonard will be touring with his band in Canada in May/June and in Europe after that. The tour schedule (all confirmed venues) will be announced on March 11 on this site at 00.01 am Greenwich Mean Time (UTC). New concerts will be added when information is available.

I am fortunate enough to live in the place where GMT lives too, so I will be poised by my computer just before midnight on 10 March. I understand that we may not be able to actually put in the credit card number just after midnight, but I'll have it handy just in case.

Jarkko, you are a star!!!

The meter on the bed is ticking...'n we all know

so yet again no mention of the US. Jarkko, does that mean the US is scheduled for after the Europe leg? Consistently there has been no mention of a US tour, only Canada.

Thanks
Philip

***At this time there are no dates in US. The tour starts in Canada and then comes over to Europe. I don't have any information about the future. / Jarkko

Thanks for all the info. Jarrko. I'm hoping Leonard will be coming to Ottawa. If not I'm positive he will be in Montreal, so I don't mind driving a couple of hours.

All the hard work is much appreciated _ thanks - just missed Leonard in Manchester during the summer opning of his exhibition at Richard Goodall gallery, so hope he was suitably impressed for another visit up North. George + Gemma

A moment ago I was informed that on March 11 we will be able to post only a partial schedule (only the first confirmed venues). I'm very sorry about that, but there is nothing we can do. The concert list seems to still be under construction. So we all have to stay tuned for further dates. We will post updates as soon as they are available. The special ticket booking begins also on March 11 - to the first city, followed soon by the next one.

Am I being over confident in thinking this tour could be quite long at a lot of locations and/or performances?
It would be nice to think that there will be sufficient dates to satisfy what is going to be a huge demand.

I am seeing mention of tour dates in Canada in may and Europe following that. i am curious why i don't see the USA mentioned. initially i remeber reading that May would include Canada and the USA Could you let me know if that is still the plan or has that been changed. thanks
