Football World Cup 2006

Post by Henning »

You might have heard already, that this event will take place in Germany starting on June 9 ending with the grande finale in Berlin on July 9.

This morning Australia beat Uruquay after an exciting extra time and a penalty shout-out and thus surprisingly is qualified for the tournament next year.

4 more qualifiers will be played today and then the list of the 32 teams is completed.

Singing yippee, yippee, yippee, all the way! :D

Yeah to the Socceroos (as we call them down here) - one giant hop, indeed! 8)

Maybe, I need to go over for the World Cup and then just stay on for the LC Event in Berlin!

Cheers :)

Oh, what the hell, Ali, why not I say!

In fact, why don't I just spend the whole year in Europe - I could catch up with all you folk over there, go to any LC gatherings (like the Bristol one), visit my relatives and friends, do a little bit of social research, do some preliminary enquiries about my son's dance and residency options in Europe, do some walking and cycling and driving and sightseeing around the place 8) - that should just about fill up the year. Mmmm... if only! :D

Cheers :)

Henning, you must be so relieved that the host nation qualifies automatically. That could have been quite embarassing.
You know, if i was going to manage a European football team i would try to do it in Europe. What do you think?

Only those are first seed who have won the cup legally in the past 100 years.
