Something to bring a smile to your faces in these difficult times. I hope!

Tony, The Dubliners are one of my favourite Irish bands!
I have a 3CD set of The Best of the Original Dubliners and "Maids...." is on it :)
Here's a few of their songs from that same CD set that resonate with me.
I play them on my violin but not lately though - have to get a new one!

Dirty Old Town
I Wish I Were Back in Liverpool
The Leavin' of Liverpool
The Rising of the Moon
Peggy Gordon
Tibby Dunbar
The Partin' Glass

Although it's not on the above CD set I love them singing (and me playing) Raglan Road.
I have other individual songs by them too. Generally, I like Irish music and there's something unique about it 8)

I seem to be having a reminiscing sort of day and I remember my first introduction to The Dubliners was in 1971 by an Italian man in Perth, Western Australia. A most unlikely combination of nationality and song you would ever find ;-)
He had some vinyl records of the old Irish and Scottish ballads and Irish rebel songs which I was drawn to as well.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to B4real ~ me
Attitude is a self-fulfilling prophecy ~ me ...... The magic of art is the truth of its lies ~ me ...... Only left-handers are in their right mind!
