LEONARD COHEN NIGHT

The Cohenights Arts Society is once again proud to present Leonard Cohen Night, an evening of song, poetry and video interpretations of Cohen's works on Saturday, September 24, 2005. This year's performers include Vicky Hynes, Dale Ladouceur, Craig Schafer, Lionel Rault, Ann Vriend and the Chicka Divas hosted by CKUA's Bob Chelmick.

A free lecture Looking for Leonard: Los Angeles, Mt. Baldy, Edmonton by Cohen biographer Ira Nadel starts at 2:30 p.m. in the Drawing Room of the Macdonald Hotel. Space is limited to the first 60 people who sign-up by calling (780) 433-4652.

Leonard Cohen Night starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Westin Hotel, 2nd level, West Foyer with refreshments (featuring Leonard Cohen's signature drink, the Red Needle) followed by a themed dinner and the evening's entertainment.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at Tix on the Square by calling (780) 420-1757. Ticket prices are $60 - general admission and $25 - students/seniors (includes dinner).

I'm really pleased I had the privilege to be at their first event - it was a most enjoyable experience, which I have fond memories of. :D
