Yes there was Ken, what a pity the English postal system wasn't on our side. Albert, forgot to say thanks a mil for bringing your material, we had just been discussing how nice it would be to have all the live songs and then we got them, fair play!!

Glad to hear you all had a good time.

Apologies for English postal system, however with Albert there you should have had no shortage of videos.

Plenty of notice next time please.

You know what Ken - it's still not here!

Hi happy girl - I really will consider your invitation for the next time.

Henning and Ken...................yeah sometimes it's good being in the minority... :D ... I think there were a few more men present besides Al, Eric and myself......and of course not forgetting the 75 yr old chap on the screen who was the centre of attention. :D

Tony.

Tut tut Henning.
How can you say we Irish will use any excuse for a drinking session? Especially saying we would use Leonard, that is blasphemy. Not one of us had a hangover the next day and we sat silently and reverentially as the dvds were playing and did not even leave the room to go to the bar for drinks.

You are lucky we are not Welsh or all hell would have broken loose here :)

I don't know - I think I was wrong and I will say sorry. I suspect I was just influenced by an article in our local paper yesterday.

The Haiger Journal writes: "The intimate atmosphere was interrrupted when two sisters, also known as the "terrible twins", arrived at the place. First they would not believe that there was just a movie shown and no drinks and babbling. They only calmed down after the lights went on and the alcohol was unleashed as if there was no tomorrow ...."

I am already on my to way to find out the name of that so called investigative journalist. I will teach him some established Welsh arguments, that's for sure.

Hi All,
It seems as if a fine time was had by all.
How come alcohol is visible in most photos?

Until Paula offered to organise a get together in the very north of Scotland,
That is England, Ireland and Wales we need to do Scotland next
I was thinking that Liverpool as 'capital of Ireland' ex 'capital of culture' home to so much good music and football would be an ideal place for a bit of fun early next year.

I'm running a pub (The Red Lion) in Parkgate (The Wirral) for a few weeks

Thank goodness the Dublin/Barmouth gang aren't here. There's not enough beer in the cellar!

Hi,
I have been a fan of Leonard for a long time but a fairly recent visitor to the forum. After being prompted by Tony about the meet up in Dublin last Saturday I went along to the Teachers Club and was immediately welcomed into the fold. It was a great night and thanks to Gisela and Paula for arranging it.....I look forward to meeting you all again soon.

Hi all,

I love the idea of a Liverpool gathering Dave, or anywhere else really, as I missed the walking weekend and love Wales and Scotland, so go ahead and organise something for early next year! A few of us hosted visitors to make it more recession-friendly for the travelling Cohenites, it was great fun.

Marian, so glad you had a good time. There was also a woman called Maura who dropped in not knowing what it was all about and it turned out she was a Leonard fan as well and joined us for a while. Lovely.

Also keine Sorge ;-)

Hope to catch up with you all very soon!
