It's nice to see the intrest grow in this section, one that some members felt should be pushed into the corner!
Well done everyone!!!!!

Yes, I too, have found enjoyment in reading the poetic expressions and poetry of others here......as long as the other sections don't atrophy as a result, I think it's great. :)

Michael,
It has taken years to get this statement and they say roses grow on you. Anyways, princess Violet has draped some around my visor and is encouraging me to joust? Fancy a pint of Guiness instead Lord M?

A non bloodied mess Georges.
I am a right bad ass, dankish prince and I love my Violet to bits.

As per recent story activity on George's "Cow" thread, I can see that Cate just might be right -- Georges may have in fact somehow induced his Lordship to drown in his own, well, poisonous sin, as it turns out, since as per above the hidden meaning here is in fact "poisin," which truly is the Krytonite I'd been seeking for his Lordship (I used to believe it was the Bird dirge, actually)... I guess I need to now meet my victorious knight (Georges) under that majestic oak... I'm thinking too that another epitaph for his Lordship might be in order, since this time, well (I'm actually a bit choked up here, which truly surprises me)... anyway, this time he is really and truly... d e a

[edit: I caught an errant apostrophe in the name "Georges," and thought to correct it before the grammar Nazi did the same... v]

Dear Violet,
Watch his Lordship, he may just be comatose.

I find it a bit of a thicket these days.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.

Yes a thicket - with a few oaks.
I see in the past the big oaks posted more often, it was very vibrant. It would be nice to see that again.

... who were the big Oaks back then?... I feel a child, suddenly, wanting to know a story of the past... it's late, though, so maybe you've retired...

[a.m. edit: previously I had... "who 'where' the big Oaks back then?"... though I can find nothing clever to say about such accident... v.]

Oh, I don't know, I was tired when I said that - there are and were many people who have posted great poems here.
I liked the word thicket as well.
'Through the thicket a forest grew.'
That was at the beginning of a poem or a story that my Dad used to tell, I can't remember what came next though.
