My Bass Driven Music

Post by PaulWadeHaddad »

Leonard Cohen was one of my main inspirations in the lyrical delivery in my music, as I also have an approach mostly consisting of "word delivery". Other influences range from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to the Wu Tang Clan. My music is different as all of the songs are composed on the electric bass.

I thought I would share the music I've released in the past year with fellow Leonard Cohen fans, and hopefully it will bring you some enjoyment. Here it is:

Here is a link to a short poem I wrote the other night: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKuAGx8DY7Y/
I might apply it to music some time.

. . . and thank you, solong, for that exhaustive commentary on paul's music and word delivery. you are a staunch adherent of the expression 'less is more', it seems - and have undoubtedly afforded him much encouragement. it was also charitable of you to not mention his tiny, though fully forgivable misprint. as an informed englishman you will know that it is never chilly in chile, and across the pond chili is never 'chilli' :)

norway would I ever make poor puns around the name of a country. You should have saved Chile more gently.

my greetings to Paul were indeed weak when compared to your one.

I am glad I motivated you to welcome a new visitor.

I always appreciate positive feedback. I wonder if you and I were having a conversation face to face, would you attempt to correct my phrasing? haha. Thanks for the constructive criticism of my post...you surely spent more time on it than I did.

you are more than welcome, paul. in answer to your query: rhetoric with excessive focus upon oneself can - including during a 'face to face' exchange - be a major hindrance to enjoying the art of conversation, and therefore an attempt to tactfully nudge you into a more attractive way of communicating would likely be made :)

I do tend to "self focus" in my writing, but being a good listener, I shift the focus to those involved as well, especially in conversations. I say "I" frequently in the writing of my music, as it is introspective, and many of the artists I enjoy listening to do as well. "You" is also utilized very often... the listener is involved. It's not a one sided situation, and the result is a more personal feel to my ears.
