i've been listening to all the dissension, listening to all the pain,
& i feel that no matter what i do for you it's going to come back again.
but i think that i can heal it, yes i'm a fool . . . but i think that i can heal it with this song

"comme l'oiseau sur la branche, comme l'ivrogne en plein coeur de la nuit, j'ai cherché ma liberté" ["like a bird on a branch, like a drunkard in the dead of night, i sought my freedom"] - leonard cohen's words at the opening of 'bird on a wire' on his 1973 'live songs' album.

salem aleikum! regret to say this is possibly my last post for a while, but will return at the end of october - inshallah :-)

my two daughters, eight grandchildren and our spiritual adviser (whom we also visited when you kindly stopped by), will all be thinking of you on that special day. at the moment i am on holiday, but occasionally able to sneak online. wishing everybody reading this a happy and healthy future. :-)

you probably won't find little anonymous me on here together with friends yesterday, but they all begged me to convey warmest greetings to solong the stingless scorpion as he prepares for his pre-hallowe'en celebration ;-)

never mind. you can always recuperate some of the losses by selling it to a dogfood factory.

very few, if any, pictures from me appertaining to leonard nowadays. up until the beginning of november it's grand central station here. mattresses in all rooms. yet, remember you do not need to be dependent upon me. just try to be creative yourselves. it's not easy to begin with, and naturally you cannot ever expect to reach my level, but it will give you something to do until i come back when my guests have gone.
