Lakis, who owns the 21st Century Boutique on the front, organises excellent trips to Epidavros to see a production, usually every two weeks, under the umbrella of the Cinema Club of Hydra. I dare say he would be willing to organise a special trip for Cohenites if interest is high enough. He organises everything for an all-in price: crossing the gulf, coach across the mountains from Metoxi, theatre seat, coach back, sea-taxi back. (I can't remember ever stopping off at Nafplion, which, to my mind, is not a very interesting site, certainly not compared to Mistra or Monemvasia). The only really important thing is to take a cushion with you to Epidavros: three thousand years of weathering has not made the stone any more comfortable!

Yes, Lakis is our guy who suggested this trip to Demetris. Dem was recently talking with him about next year's meetup program.

I'm hoping to be able to make it. I may be in Italy around that time, so it's not too far to go. We get weekends off from the archaeology dig I'm planning on going to, so maybe I can convince them to give me a few more days off :D

In agreement with Stamatina on that one, cassious. DO IT! Promise them you'll dig a bit in the hills of Hydra [not officially, of course, and filling the holes back in, of course ;-) ], though chunks of tiles seem to be lying about everywhere.

I'd love to come, Jarkko, for my first time (but I have wanted to do so for many years).
With kids in school, I will have to wait and see, if Tage's job finally is transferred home as planned. If he comes home by December as planned, I can go to Hydra in June.
Would it be too late to let you know and/or book flights and accommodation?
Unfortunately, we can't know for very long before :'(
Amrei

Dear Amrei, there is no deadline for registration - people may decide at the very last moment. In early June the tourist season has not yet started, and accommodation will be available also without advance reservation. Flights would be cheaper if booked earlier. I hope you will make it!
