Re: never-ending gallery

Hi G,

If you send me one of your drawings of Leonard, I will use it on the cover of my next book I about him. I will pay the postage and also give you 10%--no, make that 20%--of the book royalties. Tell me if I should peruse the never-ending gallery to select one.

Thanks in advance,

Re: painting by numbers

G, we should all feel sorry for this person. With all the challenging, stimulating, beneficent, and rewarding ways available to make a living in this world, hyping overpriced merchandise anonymously and under false pretenses on this website is the best that he/she can aspire to achieve.

Re: never-ending gallery

G, I watched your chicken recipe video. It looks delicious...and easy, so I will be making it for sure. That's a lot of nutmeg, but I like nutmeg, it reminds me of yule-time egg nog. I am reciprocating with a video about a recipe that is, well, the opposite of easy, but if one is at home in the kitc...

Re: never-ending gallery

G, I really like your Monday morning sketch a lot. It's not like it is a novel pose, but it is the likeness that comes to my mind when thinking about him. Don't think I created anything Monday morning except a dirty frying pan and dishes.

Such a good response by Nick Cave to incredibly annoying questioners.

Re: Troubles between the family and the management

and yet perhaps there is also an upside to this ' betrayal ' G, back in early 2000 I posted a 2-part essay on the "Along the Way" thread about "The Inadvertent Gifts" that Kelly Lynch's betrayal of Leonard bestowed on his fans. All of Leonard's later concerts were a large compon...

Re: The Future album review

Yes, thanks from me as well Bev, I just noticed this thread now. A very thought-provoking little essay. Most of Leonard's thoughts about the future back in the 1990s seem to have come to be, I just wish he wasn't so prescient!

G, hope you can escape being taken advantage of tonight, if that be your will. In any case, should red wine be served tonight, take care to not spill any.

Re: never-ending gallery

i too love that part with the spilt wine. it goes everywhere! (see below!) virtually every book by or about leonard is free on the net, and george orwell, but you have to know how to bypass the pop-ups and blocks. also, the file sharing sites continually get closed down and start up again elsewhere...

Re: Apathy of Late

Smoking is more enjoyable than not smoking. "Wasting time" (each has his own definition of this) is more enjoyable than working. And, as the younger out there know, partying is more enjoyable than studying. Life is full of choices and it is our responsibility for making more correct than i...

Re: never-ending gallery

G, the reason I am not an artist is because I lack the ability to determine the few details that will make a drawing recognizable and obviate the need to draw many. For example, asked to draw a tomato, I would concentrate on the shape of the fruit when, as may be seen in your Warhol take-off, the le...

The "dove is never free" drawing captures LC perfectly. And with so few pencil strokes.

Re: never-ending gallery

Thanks Geoffrey...but you left out the best part (if I remember correctly), it was Catherine's final line to close that scene. In any case, it is a brilliantly-written passage. Whoever wrote it had a quite a knack with words. Juanita sounds lovely, you are a lucky man. You should cook dinner for her...
