thanks very much for that you tube link.
So long Marianne did alright capture the the whole excitement in the O2 arena and was probably the best song of the night. Although i thought Famous Blue raincoat was performed to perfection. Was really overwhelmed by how he sung it.
great show

Re: Dublin preconcert meetups
I have to agree, the video was well out of sink, but luckily for me, i was close enough to the stage that i didn't need to use them, but i would imagine for people far away from the stage that it was rather frustrating,
its a pity because it was a great concert

Re: Dublin preconcert meetups
Hi I was at it last night and am still on a high after it, brilliant concert, as good as Kilmainham, and probably better, mostly because i had such a good seat and i could actually see him as as in kilmainham i was so far away from him i didn't see him at all. I was really happy that he played so lo...

Hi
Its says on ticket 6:30, i suspect starting time is 8pm , but i think it best to be there before 7:30 alright, he might do a sound check like at kilmainham last year.

Re: Dublin preconcert meetups
Hi Henning His tour schedule is pure madness, but he obviusly is trying to get as many concerts done before he ends touring. 4 concerts in Dublin this week is a lot for anyone, but the real problem this weeks is that he has a few concerts in a few different country's. I don't know where he is gettin...

Re: Dublin preconcert meetups
Hi Henning regarding the following hear from the Liverpool crew that Leonard is struggling with a cold. Would you agree with me that Leonard should take a break and skip the Dublin shows to regain mint condition ? Just an idea, folks. i assume you are trying to wind us up, according to reports from ...

Re: rumour about Pod going bust
Hi It is on the Irish times about Pod being put into liquidation see http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/finance/2009/0626/1224249576598.html but i can't see how that will affect the Cohen giggs from going ahead, as any liquidator will let it go as a going concern and then take the profits. The only...

Re: Dylan is asked about seeing Cohen in concert...
Hi At the end of the day, its only a matter of opinion, i have seen Bob Dylan 5 times and i reckon only 2 of those concerts were good. I took a listen to the Don't think twice you tube song from tuesday night and his voice sounds dreadful, i have heard him play that song 4 times(he didn't play it on...

Re: Dylan is asked about seeing Cohen in concert...
Hi I went to see Bob Dylan in the O2 Pint arena in Dublin last night and he was absolute rubbish, couldn't understand a word he was singing(or trying to sing_) and couldn't recognise the songs. The band were poor also. Dylan didn't even acknowledge the audiance and never introduced the band, it was ...

Re: Leonard for Ireland?
Hi BurningViolin True, i went to two concerts in the marque in Cork, one was Bob Dylan, and last year was Neil Young. Dylan was 50 euro(approx) and Young was 80 euro. It is a brilliant but hot venue. Dylan's concert there was brilliant, best venue that i saw him at, I have seen Neill Young in the ol...

Re: Leonard for Ireland?
True on all points, however if Leonard Cohen played in the Olympia, i would imagine they would cost more than Ry Cooder,(being honest i never heard of R Cooder!) also Olympia is a much smaller venue and therefore would be better than the O2. When Neil Young played vicar street a few years ago it was...

Re: Leonard for Ireland?
Hi I am glad i got two tickets for the 19th of July, but i am disappointed that fans again are being asked to pay huge ticket prices for another farewell concert and as i have just seen his interview it does seem that he may tour in the future again. I paid 267 for two tickets, however i was going t...

Re: Leonard for Ireland?
Hi
the cheapest tickets for dublin is 90 euro, so the chances are the dearest will be 125 euro, fairly expensive.
Will probably go , but it is a lot of money for a night out.
