Oh, you're right. I was late.

Glad to hear from you! (I was pretty sure you'd reply to this posting. A nice tradition in itself.)

Leonard singing "O Christmas Tree" ("O Tannenbaum"), again

In my ongoing effort to make this a holiday tradition: Here, as in the previous years, is Leonard singing "O Tannenbaum" ("O Christmas Tree"). https://clyp.it/4f1oiyni?token=3be541fa66ea73c43fea0c44e2cec568 (Based, of course, on a few lines of the song "Non, je ne regrette r...

Re: Comet Leonard

There actually is an asteroid named after Leonard:
"24732 Leonardcohen".
Apparently its diameter is 3.475 kilometres. And its orbit lasts 10.163 days (almost 28 years).

Re: Dance Me To The End Of Love as danced by Sir Anthony Hopkins

From 2019, in an article about Anthony Hopkins: 'he's an accomplished musician, too; and there he is, singing along at a dinner party to Leonard Cohen's 'Here It Is'. "Oh yes, Leonard Cohen's my favourite." In the hotel suite in Santa Monica where we are talking, he sinks back into the sof...

Thanks for the photo and the link, Bev!

Yes, I know about the movie. But the description of this video tricked me into thinking the song didn't appear in the movie:

Re: Leonard, Liszt, and Elvis

Hi Bev,

I remember that conversation as well!

I have to admit that I didn't know that Elvis song until yesterday. I think it's a relatively unknown song that didn't appear on a regular album.

Leonard, Liszt, and Elvis

Leonard, Liszt, and Elvis One of my favourite not-that-well-known facts about Leonard's music is that the melody of his song "Came So Far for Beauty" (co-written with John Lissauer) is based on Franz Liszt's piano piece "Liebestraum No. 3". So far, so good. But today I learned th...
