Re: Press Reviews of Fall 2008 UK dates?

The summer tour was quite well covered by the British press, they might not differentiate between the summer leg and the 'fall' leg of the tour ?

Re: London O2 Arena, November 13 - 14, 2008

He did Chelsea Hotel tonight! Another great gig, thanks Leonard :) just back from O2, thoroughly enjoyable. Chelsea Hotel was a highlight. Because O2 wasnt full we were upgraded to the floor, this was ok apart from the fact that i felt i was in an airport terminal ! Dozens making their way to seats ...

Re: Munich, October6

I think the sound quality varies depending on the accoustics of the arena. The sound quality in Berlin was excellent, i was sitting high up in the upper tier. I sat on the floor at O2 London and the sound was not as clear. The sound team appear to have worked wonders adapting to each venue. As for L...

Fantastic night at the O2, really enjoyed the whole 24hr 'rolorcoaster ride' ( flight-food-beer-Mr Cohen-beer-sleep-flight). Looking 4ward to November in London ! :) m...

Re: 4 October - Tonight he take Berlin

Flew back to UK this morning from Berlin, 3 hours sleep in Schoenfeld hotel due to early easyjet return. The concert was fantastic, sound quality excellent, highlight for me 'famous blue raincoat' ! The crowd got more responsive as the evening progressed. There were ticketing problems at the O2, but...

Re: jarvis cocker performing in manchester same night as LC

If Jarvis did say that its a bit harsh methinks. Often these quotes are taken out of context in magazine articles. I would imagine ther were plenty of positive comments that were not reported...............but then im biased. I attended the first night at Manchester and it was a truly sublime experi...

In case you don't know about it. http://www.listentoyoutube.com/ Log on to the website above and enter the URL of any YouTube video; it will convert it to an mp3 sound file you can then listen to on your mp3 device (for those of us who haven't got video iPod thingies, LOL!). All the videos of LC in...

Re: October/November concerts in Germany

You are right to say that Berlin will be attended by people from abroad. Thanks to Jarkko reserving a seat at Berlin early, I got a good seat, cheap flight via easyjet, and hotels & public transport are far cheaper than UK. As i have posted earlier, it is cheaper for me to see Leonard in Berlin ...

Re: London July 17

A great night, it was good to see the band enjoying the show too ! The sound was excellent, and the video screens clear & bright. Yes, the O2 can be a bit like an airport with people continually on the move, but i must not compare the night with the Manchester concert, the two were very enjoyabl...

Re: October/November concerts in Germany

Berlin ticket for 4th Oct arrived in post today in UK. Ticketmaster de. only charged me 6 euro for postage and it took 3 days. Excellent service ! As i said in previous post the price of diesal fuel makes it cheaper for me to fly to Germany than it cost to drive to Manchester ! :D Manchester/London/...

Re: October/November concerts in Germany

Gatwick - Berlin on easyjet return less than 50 GBP, out 4th return 5th Oct. ( Cheaper than my fuel bill to Manchester in June !). Tickets are cheaper too. Ticketmaster postage from Germany is 6.50 GBP, recorded delivery, so if concert is not confirmed then not such a loss if refund required.

Re: Glastonbury

Most of the posts on this thread have voiced their disappointment quite reasonably about the Beeb not showing Leonard Cohen ( whoever's decision it was). However they remain balanced and fair, go to the other thread on the current tour page and you will see 100 posts, some of which are quite 'angry'...

Re: BBC2 Glastonbury highlights sunday

I feel a bit of a fool, swapping about all over the BBC coverage, BBC 2/3/ interactive etc etc, driving the family mad by continually interrupting the euro 2008 final, only to find that it is not recorded ?
Oh well, roll on O2 on the 17th ! :(
